This oil is produced by steam distillation of the ripe fruit, also called seed, of Petroselinum Sativum. Parsley Oil is best known among clients for its excellent antimicrobial and antiseptic properties. This oil is also known to inhibit the breast cancer. It is highly effective to protect you against multitude of infections. This oil is suitable for treating gallstones and dysentery. Apperance:- Parsley seed oil is a yellowish to amber-colored or brownish liquid, more or less viscous. Upon cooling, it may deposit crystals of Apiole.

Extraction:- It is obtained by process of steam distillation of parsley seed and parsley leaf.
Composition:- The obtained data from GC: MS revealed the presence of 19 identified components, which represented 99.9% of the total amount as shown in Table 3. The main constituents of the essential oil were myristicin 34.18%, alpha- pinene 16.14%, apiol 15.69% and sabinene 0.68%. Also, 1-allyl-2,3,4,5-tetramethoxy-benzene 9.93%, beta-pinene 7.3%, beta-phellandrene 4.11%, carotol 2.44%, beta-myrcene 2.38%, camphene 2.07% and alpha-thujene 0.97% were identified.
